 How to Enable Microsoft Fabric Trial for Your Tenant


Have you heard about the exciting new features of Microsoft Fabric announced at Microsoft Build 2023?

If you're eager to get an early hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, here's a step-by-step guide on how to enable it for your tenant. 

Step 1: Access the Power BI Admin Portal

The simplest way to enable Microsoft Fabric is through the Power BI Admin portal. This task should be performed by your Power BI tenant administrator or Office 365 tenant administrator.


Step 2: Navigate to Tenant Settings

Once you're in the Power BI Admin portal, locate the Tenant Settings section. Here, you'll find the option for Microsoft Fabric (Preview) at the top of the list.


Step 3: Enable Microsoft Fabric

Enable the Microsoft Fabric (Preview) setting. You have the choice to activate it for your entire organization or restrict it to a specific security group, depending on your requirements.

Step 4: Apply Changes and Wait

After enabling the setting, apply the changes. It might take up to 15 minutes for the changes to take effect. Once activated, you will notice the Power BI icon at the bottom left corner of your screen. Clicking this icon will allow you to explore the various workloads of Microsoft Fabric and navigate through its features.
